Entered the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event through the Newcastle Poker Tour and poker league, and is now a member of the famously watched November Nine. Whatever his final total cash winnings are, he intends to share 20% of it with his hometown poker league. Since arriving in June he has become acquainted with, and will now share the experience of this event with Kevin Schaffel.

His noted profession is head of corporate strategy for a major investment bank, Bear Stearns. Begleiter, worked at Bear Stearns almost 25 years, as a significant member of the investment bank’s management and compensation committees. This experience is attributed to helping him to remain calm during the 2 weeks of intense play in the main event. The biggest thrill for him about making the final table is the competition and game.
He plans to spend the next four months with his wife and family, for a time, on vacation in Europe. As a member of this talented group of poker players, there will be great competition to enjoy beginning on November 7th at the Rio in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
